Our current lifestyle can often lead to acidosis in the body. Our body works like a power plant, burning fats and carbohydrates to produce energy. This combustion process leads to waste products that need to be excreted. In the case of fats and carbohydrates, this is easily achieved, particularly through respiration and optimum oxygen supply.
However, the combustion of proteins, especially those of animal origin, leaves behind acid-forming residues such as sulphuric, nitric, and uric acid. If the excretory organs are overloaded, these acids are deposited in tissue and can lead to acidosis, which slows down the metabolism and inhibits fat burning.
An alkaline diet can eliminate acidosis and boost the metabolism. The more alkaline the diet, the better the metabolism works, and the less waste products accumulate.
But beware: Not everything that tastes acidic is also acidifying and vice versa. Lemons, for example, have an alkalising effect despite their sour taste. Sweets and cheese, on the other hand, are acidifying. It is therefore important not only to be aware of the caloric and fat content of foods, but also to know which foods have an alkalising or acidifying effect. For optimum metabolic regulation, a sufficient supply of alkaline substances is necessary, as our body consists of 70 % alkaline and only 30 % acidic material.
Our bodies are like our moods: If you don’t want to be on edge, you need balance. The SLIMYONIK® Base Complex creates it – with magnesium citrate, zinc citrate, potassium citrate, and bitter substances. We think: an excellent addition to treatment with the SLIMYONIK® AIR Bodystyler.
